On “Black Friday”, the 25th of November 2011, the Highland Robotics Team was up early to sell refreshments to the customers of JCPenneys. The sale kicked off at three am, which was cold and dark for the students and parents on that shift. During the day, though the weather was on our side – it was a sunny day and at least fifty degrees! We sold power drinks, candy, hot chocolate, pop, and coffee. Over all it was a successful fundraiser. This money will help us buy new equipment and parts. Thanks to the Boosters, volunteers, shoppers, and JCPenneys!
